Matt Helm is an American mystery television series which aired on the ABC Network during the 1975-1976 season. The title character was played by Anthony Franciosa.

A seemingly platonic friendship gets tested when a high school teen wants her closest friend to endorse her new romance with a local musician.

Matt, a well known writer and director, suffers a traumatic experience, that leads to him being deathly afraid to go outside. Therefore he decides to attempt to write, direct, and star in a feature film, all from his apartment.

Matt Mercury is given the task of hunting a disgruntled super-genius named Professor Brainwave and recovering the stolen Earth before it becomes enslaved by a race of giant brains. If this isn't enough of a chore, Matt must also chase after an old flame!

It's the story Hollywood has glamorized, publicized, and bombarded us with--how it all began for the two young men, now famous for the tabloid coverage of ther on-again-off-again romances, their big budget smashes and flops, and their "Project Greenlight." It started with a script for the film that became Good Will Hunting, slaved over by the bright young dreamers (portrayed in this play's permier by the female playwrights) in their run-down apartment in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1996.
